So guys, technology giants Apple finally launched the much awaited iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus with all their specifications and price.

At a special event in San Francisco on Wednesday 7th September , Apple unveiled the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones. The iPhone 7 specifications were not the best kept secrets, because weeks back we had leaked images and specs of the iPhone 7 here.  These leaks and rumors were hardly able to tell the whole iPhone 7 story.

 New iphone 7 features 

The most eye catching features of the iPhone 7 are the camera upgrade, a new home button and the removal of the 3.5mm headphone as anticipated in the leaks

   The headphones 

One of the strangest decisions was to completely do away with the headphone jack or port, what you get instead is a pair of Lightning EarPods which connect via the charging port, and Apple's wireless AirPods, powered by a W1 chip. The Infared sensors detect when you put the pod in your ear, while motion sensors control the headphones to use Siri and detect your voice. Cool right?

The pods can connect to Apple watches and laptops, also Ipads.

The camera

The camera of the iPhone 7 was also upgraded to take better pictures in low light conditions, a

new 12MP sensor that's 60 per cent faster and 30 per cent more energy efficient.

The iPhone 7 plus version comes with dual rear cameras. This would give increased quality when zooming a photo, this has been a problem for Apple for some time. The iPhone 7 plus has two 12MP cameras, one of which is a wide angle lens and the other a telephoto lens that can zoom 2X in high quality without using any software. 

The secondary camera has been upgraded to a 7MP from the 5MP it has been for selfies.

The home button 

The home button has been given a vibration-based taptic feedback system so it now vibrates when touched to give users feedback. The feature is already in use on the firm's MacBook laptops. It's also has the antenna bands moved to the edges form the sides as is the norm. This was talked about in the leaks, in an earlier post.

Apple is expected to reveal the next  generation of its iPhone, the iPhone 7 next month.

The technology giants usually updates its smartphone collections ever year, towards the end of the year, usually in early September so it ends the year on a high note.

The iPhone home button has become Apple's most iconic design trademarks. And while some rumours say Apple is doing away with  the home button ,some others say it’s getting redesigned.

             

Bloomberg Technology says the new iPhone would now use a pressure-sensitive  kind of technology from Apple Macbook computers for the home button.

When is the iPhone 7 been released?

Taking Apple's release date pattern into consideration, it's likely we'll see the iPhone 7 officially revealed in September 2016.
Both the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6 were revealed in September and Apple has no reason to change this pattern.
Notorious leaker Evan Blass claims to have pinned down the release date to Friday September 16 - although he has cited no source for the information.

So everybody expects Apple's next iPhone to be called the iPhone 7, right? Some leaks suggest that Apple may go with  the name "iPhone 6SE" instead.
The rumour comes from German tech news site Apfelpage , which spoke to Chinese supply chain sources who claim to have seen finished packaging and labels with the new name.
iPhone 6SE would make sense, given that most rumours point to the fact that Apple's next iPhone being upgarde rather than a total design change.

Design of the iPhone 7.

IPhone 7 compared to the IPhone 6

A video gotten by French tech site Nowhereelse.fr that matches up the new iPhone 7 with last year's iPhone 6s flagship.
Dedicated Apple followers will be well aware of the rumours surrounding the upcoming device. It is rumored to have  larger camera lens and a USB Type C connection at the bottom that will double up as the new headphones port.

The device obtained in the video appears to closely match these rumours. There's obviously no 3.5mm headphone port at the base of the IPhone 7.

It also has the antenna repositioned on the corners of the handset rather than across the back.
But in terms of size and design, the alleged iPhone 7 looks very similar to the existing iPhone 6s .

This latest picture appears to give us our clearest view yet of what the iPhone 7 will look like.
Emerging on Chinese social media, it shows a device that's very similar to the current iPhone 6s , but with a couple of small changes.

No more Home button?

Pictures recently appeared to show a version of the iphone with a completely blank front panel. They seem to suggest that Apple will drop its famous home key in favour of an on-screen button.

Water resistant iphone 7?

According to reports in the China-based Commercial Times , Apple is working on a new "compound material" that repels water for use in its handset, which it is thought to be the iPhone 7.
This new material will also reportedly remove the need for the two strips of plastic that run across the back of the current generation of iPhones to allow mobile signals to reach the antennas.
This suggests that the body of the next iPhone may not be made from metal at all, but some other kind of material that allows radio waves to pass through it.
