iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus Full Specifications and Price.

So guys, technology giants Apple finally launched the much awaited iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus with all their specifications and price.

At a special event in San Francisco on Wednesday 7th September , Apple unveiled the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones. The iPhone 7 specifications were not the best kept secrets, because weeks back we had leaked images and specs of the iPhone 7 here.  These leaks and rumors were hardly able to tell the whole iPhone 7 story.

 New iphone 7 features

The most eye catching features of the iPhone 7 are the camera upgrade, a new home button and the removal of the 3.5mm headphone as anticipated in the leaks

   The headphones

One of the strangest decisions was to completely do away with the headphone jack or port, what you get instead is a pair of Lightning EarPods which connect via the charging port, and Apple's wireless AirPods, powered by a W1 chip. The Infared sensors detect when you put the pod in your ear, while motion sensors control the headphones to use Siri and detect your voice. Cool right?

The pods can connect to Apple watches and laptops, also Ipads.

The camera

The camera of the iPhone 7 was also upgraded to take better pictures in low light conditions, a
new 12MP sensor that's 60 per cent faster and 30 per cent more energy efficient.

IPhone 7 camera

The iPhone 7 plus version comes with dual rear cameras. This would give increased quality when zooming a photo, this has been a problem for Apple for some time. The iPhone 7 plus has two 12MP cameras, one of which is a wide angle lens and the other a telephoto lens that can zoom 2X in high quality without using any software.
The secondary camera has been upgraded to a 7MP from the 5MP it has been for selfies.

The home button

The home button has been given a vibration-based taptic feedback system so it now vibrates when touched to give users feedback. The feature is already in use on the firm's MacBook laptops. It's also has the antenna bands moved to the edges form the sides as is the norm. This was talked about in the leaks, in an earlier post.

So with the major new features of the iPhone 7 stated we can go to the full specifications of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus.

    Samsung galaxy note 7 exploding.

    Galaxy Note7 battery overheating

Reports from the US and South Korea had it that the Samsung galaxy note 7 battery was exploding during charging or after, these reports lead to some information that samsung would be stopping shipments of the galaxy note 7, as a result of the reports on the galaxy note 7's explording while charging.
Samsung said for customers who had gotten the galaxy note 7, would still be able to swap it for a new one.

Samsung had already sold alot of units of the smartphone 2.5 million units infact.
President of samsung's mobile business Koh Dong-jin told reporters "There was a tiny problem in the manufacturing process, so it was very difficult to figure out''.It was confirmed that some 35 samsung galaxy note7 devices had this particular problem, this has resulted in a complete world recall of the devices so this issue would be fixed.

Although it seems that users could solve the problem by just replacing the battery of samsung galaxy note 7. The Tech giants actually stated that this battery exploding only affects roughly 0.1% of the samsung note 7 users.

This development had many samsung lovers hold off on go out and picking up their own galaxy note 7, even those that are not full samsung loyalist are not instead preparing for the much awaited lauch of Apple's iPhone 7 expected in a matter of days now.

See also: Reduce smartphone battery drain

This is quite unforunate for Samsung, because with this news of the battery problem, even if it does not affect a very good number of the devices.

Truth be told, Samsung has been excellent the way this whole issue was handled, by putting a recall on time. This is coming up just when samsung's biggest competition is about to drop its
much awaited device. I personally hope this doesn't affect the sales of the Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch.

This is the view of BBC's Zoe Kleinman, BBC technology reporter
"This is an extraordinary decision for a tech giant to make based on so few reported incidents - Samsung says it is aware of only 35 cases worldwide.
It's bad timing so soon after a big product launch and especially given that Samsung's rival Apple is understood to be preparing to unveil a new iPhone.
However, the firm says it has discovered a problem with the battery cell and is halting sales while it inspects its suppliers.
People who have already bought the device - which is only available to pre-order in the UK - will be issued with a replacement.
Stories about exploding smartphone batteries do make the news from time to time - lithium ion batteries are flammable but very widely used."

Concluding, this is was a honest mistake by Samsung happening to a very few number of devices, that not withstanding very dangerous. If this influences your decision on getting yourself the galaxy note 7, you would never blamed. Although this issue is not common it should be taking seriously. Samsung has started investigations and taken apporatate actions.

What do you guys think of the Note 7 'sha battery issues?

4 best tips to charge your smartphone battery.

According to research you most likely have been charging your smartphone the wrong way

4 Top Tips on smartphone charging

The major problem with smartphones is that their  batteries gets drained very quickly. They hardly survive for a day.
Some people think their smartphones batteries drains super-fast because they are not charging the smartphone the right way, or using the wrong charger or even blame the power source. While others just have this believe that it's better to only charge the smartphone only when it is completely or almost dead, because charging your smartphone intermediately in short intervals or when the battery is not yet below a particular percentage, would cause damage to the smartphone battery.
That said, according to Battery specialist firm, known as Battery University, the lithium-ion batteries in our smartphones are sensitive to their versions of ‘strain’. And, extended stress could be damaging your smartphone battery’s long-term lifespan, like for humans.

If you wish to keep your smartphone battery in excellent condition and stop worrying about battery life, there a few things that you need to change.
The 4 best tips for longer battery life.
1.You Don’t have to keep it plugged in when it’s fully charged
According to Battery University, leaving your smartphone plugged in when it's fully charged, this leads to you overcharging your smartphone and the is quite bad for the battery over time. When your smartphone is fully charged and is at 100%, what happens is, your smartphone receives ‘trickle charges’ to keep it at 100% while plugged in. This keeps the battery in a state of high-stress and high-tension  which reduces the chemistry in the battery.
A simple explanation to the scientific details as to why this happen, Battery University also summarizes it simply: “When fully charged, remove the battery” from its charging device. “This is like relaxing the muscles after strenuous exercise.”
    2.Keep it cool
Smartphone batteries are so sensitive to heat that Apple itself suggests you to remove iPhone from cases when you charge it. “If you notice that your device gets hot when you charge it, take it out of its case first.” Also, ensure that your smartphone is covered when you are out in the hot sun. It will safeguard your battery’s health.
3.Try not to charge it to 100 percent
NB: Don’t charge the battery all the way to 100%, when you don’t have to.
According to Battery University, “Li-ion does not need to be fully charged, nor is it desirable to do so. In fact, it is better not to fully charge, because high voltage stresses the battery” and wears it out over time.
Most times we want to keep our smartphones charged the whole day, this may seem counterintuitive. It would be better you plug it in at any time in the day.
4.Plug in your smartphone whenever you can
Like most people do, you shouldn't wait until your smartphone battery is 15% or less. Charging occasionally throughout the day can help the overall battery’s performance instead when they are empty.
Quoting Battery University, charging your smartphone when it loses 10 percent of its charge would be the best option. While this may not be possible practically for many people, just put your smartphone on charge whenever you can. It is fine to plug and unplug your smartphone multiple times in a day.
This does not only keep your smartphone’s battery performing optimally levels for longer, but also keeps it at a good percentage the whole day. Also, constant battery top-ups also allows you to use features, like location-based features that use your smartphone’s GPS antenna that would you normally not use, because they are battery consuming.
